Gaël Duchenne
Director
Gaël was born and raised in Mauritius. He completed his tertiary education in Cape Town and qualified with the South African institute of Chartered Secretaries in 2002. He then moved to the UK to complete his Masters in Corporate Governance at London South bank University, and worked as a company secretary for a major FTSE100 company. Before co-founding Sable’s offshore business with Rod in 2011, Gaël was head of the risk and compliance division of Investec Bank (Mauritius).

Charolyn Pedlar

Charolyn has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry in South Africa and globally. Key portfolios have included Branch Manager (Liberty Life), running the Southern Africa operation for a global company, initially as Marketing Manager and later, Regional Manager Africa (Clerical Medical International). On the 1 April 2000 Charolyn became a director of Platinum Portfolios. Her function included operations, compliance and investment planning for private clients as well as contributing towards the research and the development of the investment processes and decision making for the Platinum Funds.

Barry is a qualified CA (SA) with 5 years of experience as a financial manager in the financial services and property industries. He has also completed the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) accreditation and has experience in global markets as a senior analyst. Being a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, he has a passion for problem solving and financial analysis.
